Fascia Response

Fascia response therapy is a gentle, non-invasive, relaxing technique that targets the fascia to release tension, improve physical movement and allow better blood flow throughout the body.

Fascia is a type of tissue that runs throughout the whole body.  It covers, supports and separates muscles and other organs. It has a wide range of functions, including providing structural support, stabilizing organs, and helping muscles and other tissues to move and slide against each other.

Fascia response therapy can be used to treat both new and chronic problems.

It can help with:

  • Joint pain and stiffness

  • Muscular imbalances

  • Poor posture

  • Sports injuries

  • Scar tissue

  • Preventing future injuries

  • Sports performance

Fascia Facts

  • Fascia is a newly discovered organ system that permeates the entire body.

  • Fascia tissue surrounds and permeates every muscle, organ, and structure in the body.

  • Fascia tissue has 10 times more proprioceptors than muscle.

  • Fascia is the body’s largest and fastest network signaling system.

  • You are born with your entire fascia system intact and model it over your entire life—no two fascia systems are alike.

  • Fascia remodels based on the stress (or lack of stress) we place on our bodies.

  • Fascia is the reason we now mobilize joints soon after surgery. The buildup of matted fascia from inactivity after surgery inhibits future range of motion.

  • Fascia tissue is responsible for up to 30 percent of our explosive power.

  • Many soft tissue injuries are caused by a disturbance, disruption, or lack of strength in the fascia tissue, not the muscle.

  • Fascia is highly trainable and responds best to omni-directional forces with sub-maximal loads.
